The ECU is located under the bonnet on the nearside bulkhead. The ECU is held in a black cage. Remove the air box and then twist the whole cage clock wise and then unhook it from it's retaining lugs. Heat the 2 shear bolts up and remove with vice grips

This car uses a Bosch EDC16 ECU. There are two ECU's, to access both ECU's the windscreen wipers must be disconnected so the weather panel can come off. The offside ECU is just below where the driver's windscreen wiper locates and the ECU simply unclips

The second ECU is located just off centre on the nearside; it is mounted vertically and must be un-clipped to disconnect the loom. NB: a puller is required to remove the windscreen wipers
